The main difference is in the construction mode. All equipment and facilities of the modular water treatment plant are put into containers, and only ground hardening is needed on site, which reduces the construction difficulty and construction period. The construction period of a water treatment plant with a capacity of tens of thousands of tons can be shortened to less than one month. Large water treatment plants need to build separate equipment control room and ancillary facilities such as office buildings.

CIOC and its partners have developed nearly a thousand water treatment plant projects, ranging in scale from tens of tons to 120,000 tons per day. The current operating conditions are good. The modular water treatment plant uses IoT and automated intelligent operation and maintenance management to further improve reliability and reduce operation and maintenance costs.
